Exams, without surprises
Three rules decide most bad exam stories here. They are on this page, before the numbers and the words.
In one minute
- Sign up for every exam on Uniweb, inside your department's window. Without it, your grade cannot be recorded.
- You have 7 days to refuse a grade. Do nothing and it is yours. Refusing is final.
- Anything below 18/30 is not recorded, so failing costs you a date, not your average.
The life of one exam
Five stops, in order.
It is in your study plan, and your fees are paid
Uniweb will not let you sign up otherwise. Fill in the study plan early in the year.Sign up on Uniweb, inside the window
Each department sets its own window, and the professor cannot record a grade for anyone who did not sign up. For example:
Sign-up window, Economics and Management:20 to 3 days beforeSit it
Written, oral, or both. Bring your university badge or an identity document. The grade appears on Uniweb, and a clock starts
You can refuse it for 7 days. Say nothing and it is recorded. Refusing cannot be undone, so decide calmly.
Time to refuse a grade:7 daysIt is on your record, or it never happened
Below 18/30 nothing is recorded at all, so a failed attempt leaves no mark. Sign up again for another appello.
Your average, and the mark you start graduation from
Italian averages are weighted by credits: a 9-credit exam counts three times a 3-credit one. Put in your exams and watch what each one does.
Weighted average
28.20
out of 30 · 15 CFU
Starting mark
103.4
out of 110, before the thesis
Simple average
28.50
These two are examples, so the numbers mean something. Put in your own:
And if the next one goes like this?
Your average goes to 28.14 (-0.06)
The starting mark is the usual formula, average × 110 ÷ 30. Your school adds points for the thesis, and sometimes for finishing on time, by its own rules: check your degree's regulations. Your exams stay in this browser.
Aiming for a particular final mark? Work out what you need for 110.
